Bio
The Residential Computing Program was created in August, 1997 to support students in connecting to Barnard's local area network (LAN) and in using computers in the dorms. The program is supported by Residential Computing Assistants (RCAs), undergraduate students who are trained in networking and computer support.

Students living in the dorms are able to connect to Barnard's computer network through ethernet connections or through Time Warner Road Runner connections. The RCAs help students install ethernet cards and configure student computers for the new hardware and Barnard's local area network. This local area network grants users access to the internet, library resources, university resources and e-mail.

Please feel free to ask me any computer-related questions- they don't necessarily have to be about the posted topic! =)
